Newton Abbott was called shortly before eleven o'clock this evening to respond to a working structure fire in the town of West Seneca.  The Seneca Hose fire company utilizes Newton Abbott as its Rapid Intervention Team on the fireground.

Crews quickly extinguished the blaze in the one and half-story wood frame dwelling.  One occupant was transported to the hospital for evaluation after complaining of smoke inhalation.
